HISD Special Olympics Field Day is entering its Fifth year in partnership with Houston ISD and Special Olympics.
This partnership has created opportunities for students with disabilities to participate in identified Special Olympics sports activities.
The 2017 HISD Special Olympics Field Day will take place on November 14, 15 and 16 at Joe Kelly Butler Stadium. November 15th will be MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Opening Ceremonies will begin at 9:00 a.m. and includes the Parade of Athletes, Torch Pass, and the Declaration of Games.
Activities are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. or directly after the conclusion of Opening Ceremonies. All students will have the opportunity to participate in track and field, basketball, and tennis. Secondary students will participate in one additional sport: soccer for middle school and flag football high school.
HISD Special Olympics Field Day events will commence by 1:00 pm. Students will be transported by HISD buses back to their schools.
